You should that ask that same Banker whether he has:
- ever funded a shareholder activism campaign with his own $$$?
- received cash compensation in an executive role that to date hasn’t paid for that activism campaign?
- has he ever had at risk circa $3m of his own money invested in a company (not free carry equity) that at a point in time was worth zero?
- saved the arse or LT retail investors rather than become the hero?
Assume the answer is NO to all of the above. On that basis his reaction or opinion is worthless.
