It is nice to have a response which is respectful of others viewpoint. I would just like to clarify I do not disagree with your points at all. Everything you have said about GW is true. I am very thankful for what he has done to turn around the company and give it potential of new life. I think his current remuneration is good. I just don’t believe GW and the board should have a free ride for the rest of their tenure though. Questions and criticism should be allowed to flow and be discussed.
I ask myself and I think other should ask:
- How much more slack should be given?
- How much more time?
- At what stage is it reasonable to expect some share price appreciation?
Everyones view on this will be different
It might be we disagree that share price appreciation should not be expected yet? Or with my view that the deal with Simo must be missing something as the market doesn’t value it? Or with my view that asking tough questions of the board or even being critical of a few things is good for the company. I am fine with all that. In fact it is good that we have different views to prevent groupthink. I just wanted to clarify where I do agree with you and where my view differs.
