Acaca15 has the truth of it. HFT brings liquidity, its good for the market. But if you really have faith in the business, there is no need to worry about how fast someone else can trade.
One thing to clear up, algos do NOT get preference in the market, they do not jump the queue. Sometimes they match in a dark pool and get reported at the priority price, or sometimes they get matched in a center-point crossing, which is just ASX's dark pool, and so the price looks funny, like $0.387, but they have not jumped the queue, they have been fairly crossed.
