I'm in Shanghai this week for the first time in a long while, It is so quiet, the air is clean. In Shanghai they made a decision 15 years ago that they would allow NO petrol motor bikes or scooters in the city, since they wanted to increase air cleanliness, reduce traffic speeds around the city and generally increase the liveability. Many of the buses are electric here as well. Shanghai is a city of 25 million people.
Sydney is much smaller city, but if it could take the lead from Shanghai it would be a lot more liveable.
