I was trying to say that the lack of buyer support today is not surprising nor Co specific more a general reflection of the level of fear that currently pervades the market as a whole. Or simply capitulation ? Plenty of margincalls across the entire market in last 2 days.
I agree in that i cant understand why they would sell just b4 buyback commences, again goes directly to the fear level.
Especially given the recently ann buyback i would bet that those sellers today did not sell AMU for any fundamental reason rather they were simply cashing out of equities generally jmo

Not sure what you are intimating here. Are you suggesting that a mystery party is attempting to destabilise management ?? I would have thought that would be futile given Towner and supporters holdings + Wyllie tie-up.
Also a bit cynical to suggest that buyback an attempt to gain support at AGM imo.
