Sip has done quite a few "things" to be earnings appreciative over the last few yrs, whilst buying back and cancelling the shares quite often initially doesn't "seem" to work, yet ultimately with profits spread over 10% fewer shares it has to be a positive,perhaps more for long term hold, for it to become evident. As it has been in progress for sometime it's easy to have the hindsight view ,but in context with the other measures SIP has taken ,it still looks a positive move to me. imho ..
