The market depth at the close tonight (14/5) shows that the buying is being bolstered buy two bidders wanting one share each at $33.28 when the next real bid is for $33.15 - that should tell you why the price is going up against the market trend and who might be doing it. I agree there will likely be a price correction after the buyback.
