share capital consolidation

I'm have placed this same post on PEN as I believe they are similar.

Would the company benefit from a Share Capital Consolidation to:
1. Give the Share Price some credibility;
2. Make the shares closely held;
3. Give BLR easier access to funds.

I have yet to be a shareholder of a company where the share price has benefited from consolidation, so I would prefer my few 100k shares to be valued at $3 to $5 as they are without consolidating.

Just wondering and would appreciate all views.
