you are talking about chalk cheese and spending a grand on Metastock.

Firstly Bigcharts is not software
Its a 20minute delayed on line stock charting programme
with very limited interactivity and basic charting oscillators..
Incredible charts is Software and much more interactive
allowing stock searches, forums, and Technical Analysis definitions..
Buying Metastock is silly unless you have a fair grasp on TA basics. Take Arthurs advice imo start with incredible charts
and buy yourself a few Books on TA
I reckon http://guppytraders.com/ is the best place to start and Guppy's own Books are excellent plain speak for newbies.
