It's like a stock split in reverse. In this case, 10 old shares become 1 new share. I think it fantastic. The bid ask spreads will be tighter. Institutions will be able to buy. When the stock price gets above $5, you will be able to use it for margin. There is something about a minimum stock price in order to be listed in the ASX 200, but I'm not sure about that. I hold my shares in a brokerage account, and everything is done automatically.
