This is a great article I ran across that discusses the type of owner who owns Lynas stock. The majority of stock is owned by individual investors (55%) which is unusual to the high side. Also, “the 25 of the top shareholders collectively own less than 50% of the share register, implying that no single individual has a majority interest.”
This is great news because anyone even considering a hostile takeover would be daunted by the sheer uncertainty of obtaining a majority position with such significant distribution. Other positives, the board is holding shares as is management which all contribute to the right balance when it comes to share ownership. Just one more positive on our march to rare earth dominance…. JMHO…
