Finally a bit of good news in an interesting article discussing the share ownership of Lynas investors. The high distribution percentage among individual share ownership will make any hostile takeover a very difficult proposition. Also the broad distribution provides the individual shareholders a stronger voice in the direction of the company…
The general public -- including retail investors -- own 58% of Lynas Rare Earths. This level of ownership gives investors from the wider public some power to sway key policy decisions such as board composition, executive compensation, and the dividend payout ratio.
