I averaged down on becton, thought it was a steal at 4cents, bargain of the year at 3cents etc and then lost 16,000 when it went into receivership last week.
Im sure there are plenty of examples of the contrary but if id followed the old adage - dont water your weeds or dont buy more of stocks that arent performing then i would have lost 4000 max.
