ok, so if SIA and ANZ privatise the stock, what price will they pay to mop up the rest of the shares? That's the question. ANZ, SIA, Etihad and Branson will own more than 80% of the stock at completion of rights issue. Then after we account institutional holders in the Top 40, the real free float will be not much. Maybe when they do a deal with Branson to buy out his balance is when they might make an offer for the rest. Branson did ok, think he sold 3% to Etihad recently at 48cps and now he can buy back in the rights issue at 38cps!
