ASX website has a lot of info on capital raisings (placements to SIs, SPPs like this one and RRIs)
You need to understand them.
Also remember raisings cause dilution of SP but if the money is spent wisely on asset improvements or acquisitions at favourable rates the market cap goes up in compensation. Such IMO was the case with Nifty where Cookie said the cost was equal to the cash held by the aquisition and the mine and resources were a free load.
What to avoid is the raising which gets spent on 'working capital' or 'administration" That money just maintains the bosses lifestyle.
