Here's my 2 cents worth. I'm not the most learned investor but in my experience my reluctance about most of these raisings is that by the time the placement/raising happens the SP is round about the price offered (and occasionally even lower?) so mathematically alone, why bother? However in this instance $1.48 / share just looks like a bloody good deal! And the SP has not been dropping (yet?!) since the announcement, so all things being equal I'm going to jump in and take a decent allocation, probably the max. amount.
I know there's always more to it (the actual prospectivity of the mining activities for a start!) but am I wrong or is it as simple as that?! This one looks good to me...
The other thing is I don't know the chances of this being fully subscribed (good chance or zero?... don't know) but could it be wise to get in early so you don't miss out? (Not suggesting we panic here, just asking the question).
