Many Australian fund managers and the media in general have no freaking idea/understanding about Asia and Asians in general. Even if regulations come in, people will still find ways to get around it. (As mentioned by an earlier post )
And the agriculture boom is real and will continue to grow strongly . If you speak to Asians (Does not matter which country they are from), nearly everyone of them will have a positive impression of Australian food products. And you will find Aussie products (Fruits, steaks, cereals, wine, Tim Tams, milk powder etc )everywhere , from Malaysia to China.
Also, i bet this Wilson guy recommended Slater & Gordon as buy in the past. That's why i treat all these stockbrokers/fund managers with a grain of salt and skepticism.
