There is a huge increase in Russian coal exports to India both in coking coal and thermal coal and Russia offers substantial discounts to Asian buyers. Australian coal is still a major supplier but around a 10% drop according an article from rt.com.
Doubtful India is as concerned using coal for it's energy usage or for steel production unlike the local greenies. AIMO
