from memory, they paid around $100 million for UNV - with cash and share issue in early 2020. coal price was pretty low back then - around US$50/t
the current coal price is US$100/t. it would be interesting what the current value of the operation is. During the last 5 years, i thought that some of the mines had closed and don't recall them building or buying new mines in RSA. i have been a little bit uninterested in this stock over the last year as coal price fell.
