You cannot reasonably compare Perth Basin and Montney gas .
Perth basin wells have much higher production and being high permeability conventional reservoirs much lower decline rates and much more of the gas in place can be produced .
Single Perth Basin wells have production of multiple Montney wells .
Montney gas is in unconventional formations that need expensive horizontal wells and massive fracc jobs and relatively rapid decline rates.
Very hard to use value of gas in the ground to compare .
That said the value of the Montney is the Elephant in the room for CE1.
The Alberta assets are a bit of a disappointment so far and I am nervous as to what the next quarterly will bring .
