Well, politics is very complicated. With French pulling out of the region, who's to help contain the terrorists? Arguably French might not have done very good job in this front, but without such force presence, situation could get worse.
And you know French cannot do this as volunteer for prolong time. Burkina faso's poor situation is in fact UN and the western power's hypocracy. I hope their junta can turn out to be genuine for the nation's goodness.
