There are differences between BF and Mali and whilst WAF have a level of rapport with the BF government and have gone above and beyond to support the local community in BF, there are no guarantees that a Mali situation could develop. So this is why the sovereign discount on the WAF share price. But at this stage things are moving forward in mutual benefit of WAF and the BF government and soon there will be two low cost , highly productive gold mines working towards enriching both WAF share holders and BF people's alike, just got to see the re-rate happen once it all comes to fruition. This Share would be over $2 without the sovereign discount. Interesting times , and potential to buy the dip on shareholders over reactions imo.
