what you say is strictly true. clive did acquire under 10%. it would be equally true to say that he acquired under 20% or even 30%. but the fact is that he actually acquired just under 5%, which is why he had to recruit a number of malcontents to reach the 5% required for his 249 EGM requisition. but it certainly did boost the share price, which nothing else at the time seemed to be able to do.
