You're definitely right when you ask what the goal is. I think similar to you in that I'd like to accumulate until there is a sufficient portfolio to have an adequate passive income (will probably take 20-30 years) but I'm in my late 20's so a good time to start!
I agree re: entry point being a bit ambiguous. I will definitely look at small parcels during the dips and think an entry at any point is a good start.
