Is a stock predictable? No. It is an inanimate object!
What changes is people and their perception of what the stock is worth and what they are pepared to pay.
Take a house in the US last year - it may have been valued at, say, US$400 000, but people were not prepared to pay for a house at that price. Hence the huge drop in price values over there.
People are predictable. They determine the price. They tend to a herd mentality, and follow the crowd, sensitive to peer pressure, even if it doesn't make sense.
People are ruled by two emotions - greed and fear. They buy with greed and sell with fear. They often develop a phobia around a certain price, reflecting a 'story' of people's behaviour.

The two most significant indicators of how a stock price will move are "support" and "resistance", reflecting the populace's view of that particular stock.

Even thoough PRR promises a cure to ovarian cancer and perhaps more (greed), people also are fearful, bearing in mind past failures of Biotech stocks... Perhaps that is why we have the current 'chanelling' pattern

It's fun trying to be a psychic - but you don't need psychic powers to predict human behaviour. You are human and already know what forces are at work and what choices to make.
