Fred's barrister had the simplest of tasks just reinforcing their written submission with little need to raise any new material or reference points of law / precedence. Corum's barrister had to tackle the contentious issue which I have tried to elucidate above. It may have seemed clumsy but the bench was patient and allowed him time to search for the relevant tabs, pages and clauses.
