No, not designed to lower the price and shake out nervous sellers etc. They're sole purpose is to generate small profits over and over using automated algorithms with buy/sell conditions. Set and forget.
Broker BOT's have direct access to ASX mainframes and with no brokerage they can basically anticipate human orders with capability of executing a millisecond ahead of us buying and selling between pips.
