Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Shonky operators taking shortcuts resulting in tragic and unnecessary deaths of workers who trust the boss to do the right thing. (young tradie killed underneath recent scaffold collapse).

Still need supervisor on site that prevent stacking of a tonne of brick on one corner of scaffolding resulting in the collapse of the whole works. Maybe in house training needed too. Hard to know what one labourer knows and the other doesn't.

Opens the door for government to step in and assume responsibility when they should just jail the owner of the company - which would send a signal that irresponsibility is not tolerated. This would ensure the industry was self regulated responsibly.

Know this is OT, but we are not ASX anymore so I guess there is no harm - I think. :)
