If I may make some rudimentary and elementary observations;
* The Angola mine will be a source of employment and benefit the local (African) economy
* The Saltend plant will be a source of employment and benefit the local (UK) economy plus a tax benefit for the government
* The product from Saltend will be a source of income (tax) for the UK government
Question; Why wouldn't the government want to support this with grants that almost certainly will generate a far greater return than the grant(s) given?
Win win!
As I said, "elementary", or am I missing something?
