What do they expect when half of our economy is Tertiary, nobody wants to risk going out in public for a cup of Chai-Latte; or flying to Ayers Rock to / Great Barrier reef to mingle with tourists from another land !
Mining companies may take a hit for a short while but at least their Fundamental assets remain in place;
