does dividend policy become a factor ? For an American franked dividends are less attractive than capital. This could lead to a distortion in returns for Australian retail investors who are looking to franked dividends especially as the company has had high levels of cash. Makes you wonder whether there is now incentive for management to recommend a buy-back.
