Indeed, this article caught my eye while in WA the other week. The success of EMG at Beyondie is fully linked to the success of the Oakagee port and rail complex going ahead. Given the distinct Chinese interest in EMG these days (presumably for the iron asset), and the strong desire of Chinese interests to access iron deposits in WA without the rail and port restrictions that BHP etc place on them, it is not a surprise that the two are closely linked. If Oakagee does progress with Chinese rather than Japanese backing you can be sure to see EMG shares prosper. But it wont happen without Oakagee. Presumably our recently resigned MD was frustrated at the fact that this is all a big waiting game now. It was unlikely the board would allow funds to be used for exploration on prospects outside Beyondie while they wait for a determination on whether Oakagee is a goer or not. And it could be a long waiting game!
