I read an article today which has a USA mining expert saying that the is not enough available lithium to manufacture EVs to satisfy the new legislation just passed by the USA congress. This legislation sets minimum number of EVs to be sold in the USA by various dates and specifies that the necessary minerals be 80% sourced in the USA or countries which have a Free Trade Agreement with the USA. Australia has such an agreement, signed by the last government. This should put Australian lithium miners is a strong position to negotiate deals with USA manufacturers. I can't see ESS having any trouble getting Pioneer Dome producing in short order.
