Hi Juno,
One thing that I have learnt in life is to only trust what I have 'physically heard' .... everything else is 'purely hearsay'!
In this situation, simply just trust what you personally have witnessed and heard through your encounters with David himself.
My suggestion is to treat all the other hearsay stuff'as simply 'noise in the background' !
