Most holders don't understand what a lifestyle company is, what it looks like, what it feels like. So, they struggle with identifying it, when it's in their portfolio. It simply doesn't compute in their brain.
Most humans are intrinsically good, so they are naturally inclined to believe folks, to take them at face value and believe their narratives, even when they continuously fail to deliver. Especially, when those narratives come from folks in positions of authority over the success or failure of your investment, in an industry you have little experience & knowledge in. We also are wired to presume that others see the world as we do.
It's just the way most people are wired.
Many directors of companies in the resource junior space take advantage of this.
Which is why, for example, many people simply cannot grasp the real reason why Toro has failed to deliver anything meaningful in the last 5yrs. Or, why at the point of achieving a real breaktrough and success im Jan 2022, it suddenly backed-off without informing the market.
Most people just don't get it.
