As I understand it AVL went from around five billion shares to that ~8.6 billion on the strength of merging with the nextdoorneighbout, TMT. The deal was officially valued at $217 million in September 2023 (small caps [ref])
Market cap of the combined entity post nearly a year of progress ?
    $138m according to Commsec.

I agree adding many billions shares to the register for half a billion dollars of funding is not feasible.
Neither is going into debt with banks who see no near term repayment possibility .
FWIW I agree, the government providing substantial money may provide a lifeline
PLUS major progress (EPA approval and more)
And hopefully more funding coupled with a heavy culling of shares via consolidation
.…. That seems to me to be one of the only logical forward 'action’ plans.

As far as engaging in discussion about the possibilities of ‘29c’ (or was that meant tobe 2.9c) goes I think it illustrates @Frederic0 point perfectly:

    cheers and fingers crossed.
