I was an AVL share holder back in 2018 and lost money, in 2020 lost more money, and then I made some back in 2022. STILL I LOST ABOUT $2500 ON AVL. Got sick of management and their unconvincing ideas to make it to production and share holders paying their wages with capital raises.
I bought some TNC today at 32cents. They have risen from the ashes and have about $50m for drilling, is backed by Regal Asset Management, Glencore Australia, seems management. have put their own money into it. https://******.com.au/media/cashedup-drilling-in-a-new-era-for-tnc-20?videoId=41424I am not recommending it as it is highly speculative but I am here cause I found a video on ****** where they are crowing about a vanadium asset. Oh no, I do hope they find something else. So I went back over my data, and it was about 10cents when I was losing brass on them.Sad to see them at 1c.
What happened? Has Vanadium moved at all? You must be true believers or hate selling. Can I ask why you still hold, and truthfully has anyone averaged down a lot and drowning? I ask not to gloat but share experiences and lessons learnt.
Hotcopper is full of bullshitters who say buy and actually sell etc but there are a small % of good folks, and we if can learn from one another we can be more prepared for the bullshit from some CEOs of the companies we invest in.I lost $2500, sadly I have lost a lot more on small, medium and large companies. Thankfully, I have made more than I have lost - mostly on large companies and a few small ones. It has been a long and painful experience. I know losing is part of the game and even the best pick losers (Buffett).
I am not that knowledgable about exploration companies or the resources sector in general, a sector I usually lose money in. However I am learning. Happy to share info on where my best gains have come from.I want to know whether Vanadium still has a future and how hard it is to be a producer (of anything). I have been buying and selling VTM - rare earths, and this has had a good run of late, and the CEO is talking about being a producer! Once held Carnarvon oil when it was 13c and it shot to 70cents our so and I see that is back at 15c - all too common so good job I sold on a profit.
