The application in question was submitted by TMT in 2018, and the EPA report and recommendation to the minister was published in February 2024, however it was appealed on March 5th by one proponent and is still under appear. A HC user who's name I keep forgetting (sincerest apologies) wrote to the WA EPA to ask for a timeline, and they stated they usually respond within 60 days of last receipt of evidence, we are currently over 60 days post appeal, so I would suggest we hear in the next week or 2 (the time it took AVL to respond), unless there has been a lot of back and forth, or additional information required. For those wondering, it was previously stated that EPA approval is transferable between entities, providing the policies and so forth in the application remain the same.
AVL submitted an application on 15/03/2021, I imagine the mine development (i.e. open pit) from this application will be used, but not the processing (processing is the component that takes the most time to receive approval).
