    That is correct wombat, the reference from CJ that Prince is referring to was in regards to Gems returns and was designed to highlight the relative value of stones from the various grades. Large amounts of 'commercial' grade is recovered from primary deposits (i.e.rock containing all grades of ruby) where there is very little alteration of the contained material, whereas the 'higher quality' gem stones remain and are found (in higher relative percentages) in the chemical and physical weathered secondary deposits because they are more resistant to these degenerative processes than the lower quality primaries due to more stable structural and chemical characteristics. A consequence of this is also more rubies of all grades are recovered from 'primaries' per tonne than are recovered from 'secondaries per tonne due to the net loss of 'ruby material' through the weathering process. IMO
