I too have had too many duds from set and forget. No one can ever get it right all the time. So what if you miss the highs as long as you sell out at a profit. A small profit is better than nothing and and far better than any loss. Theres a few good stocks that keep trading in a pattern and you can buy on the dips and sell when it approaches its usual high. Its not foolproof but nothing ever is.
