gold price is falling in TANDEM with the aussie dollar....so in oz dollars we have a gold price of about $950!! Which has been basically the same for 6 months. Investors surely are missing this v simple calculation....and presumably they will only believe it when the annual report shows great oz dollar profits!
Especially on a falling oil price, though, I agree, this works the other way, so that the energy cost to gold companies hasn't fallen a great deal since oil price peaked in US dollars.
