Yes the Aus Govt has had a look at it through the EFA, Austrade and the Critical Minerals Facilitation Office.

But my understanding is they havent committed to anything yet, most likely awaiting the BFS before making a decision, which Im guessing ASM have delayed finalising until they get those capital costs down to a more commercially acceptable level.

My guess is they will start with a smaller plant in Oz which will cost less to build and look to expand in future.


They have done everything else right, are China free the whole way, but financing is the greatest obstacle for all small cap mining companies, even more so for RE's

You want the US-China Cold War to really get nasty, which I think it will, to keep pushing RE prices up.
