If I am correct I believe American Companies and Institutions cannot buy any stock valued below USD5.00. They are restricted by US law. However once LYC breaks through the USD5.00 barrier then we should see US Institutions and Retirement funds come in which should help drive up the price.
With due respect and no flame intended, but this information is false. Some American funds in their proxy restrict which stocks they can buy (to your point non-OTC, must have earnings in the last three years, and under one dollar are common restrictions). But there is no US law that restricts a fund, company, or American individual from owning Lynas other other stocks under USD 5. My US retirement group asks that I only buy OTC stocks valued over USD 1. But this is an Edward Jones rule not a US law. Hope this helps.
