They would have done it to introduce some new instos to the registry. 2.6m was the maximum they could raise without spending months getting shareholder approval at an egm.
Their IP is the software behind it that filters and ensures the content isn't manipulated and reproduced etc More than just a portal connecting the two.
And yeah they are making a loss now as they have built out global capabilities. Now the revenue is all fixed cost leverage. Getty has to be worth at least a couple of mil rev so too tribune. They were already doing 3mil plus all the additional sign ups. Plus file mobile gets you an an annualised around 10 imo....and I expect more to come....go play in brainchip if you want 20pc daily moves.
