Interesting opportunity.

I wonder what a full renewable power solution for the Eastern Goldfields would look like and what it would cost.

5 MW twenty four hours a day,
for a solar plant with 30% capacity factor plus 30% security marging =20 MW of PV
5 MW x 18 hours - 90 MWhr battery bank

At $1/Wp for solar plus $2/Whr for battery = $20M + $180M for battery = $200 M to run one processing plant.

A big figure. Lovely idea but not going to happen.
