Logically, I don't understand how you can state that your set of IQbuds are not faulty.
A 2m line of sight reception range proves either the transmitter (phone) or receiver (Left IQbud) is faulty. The fact that you get 9-10m with the BOSE wireless proves the phone Bluetooth transmitter is OK, so the bluetooth receiver in the left IQbud must be faulty.
As I stated previously, most people get a line of sight Bluetooth range of 7 -10 m with IQbuds.
This signal strength is strong enough to carry the phone anywhere above the waist, and depending on height and body size, also in the left trouser pocket. However, due to RF signal attenuation when transmitting through the body, it generally does not provide a good enough signal with the phone in the right side or rear trouser pockets. This is why Nuheara are implementing a hardware solution to improve the Bluetooth reception range. I expect this solution will result in a line of sight range of more than 12m.
