the money system itself, rather than fiat or gold based, i think its time for 'environmental integrity' to be the basis of money, at least at a "vs a basket of global currencies basis" ie. currency issue must be backed by measurable environmental sustainability/region. utopian i know, but it would give the environment an automatic value in the economic system, linking economics with biophysical reality. money would be more 'sound'.
