Why the obsession with shorts?
Shorts are good for the price past the short term that is logical.
Unless of course there is a good reason for a short such as accounting fraud eg wirecard a big company problem eg tyro or through inside knowledgeSome punters going short on ALK because they guess POG is going down or guess Boda won't happen is good for the price as they become forced buyers at a time not necessarily of their choosing in the future.
If you want some further empirical evidence just ask and I'll upload how much better the most shorted stocks have done over the broader index
