The horror story for now is what is happening when the treasury short got squeezed? im not sure how big is that but half tril reverse repo and 16- 18t negative yield could make them a monster
I really hope that is not happening but when those participants who expected way way too much, short treasury way way too much , expecting inflation way way too much , got squeezed, that may cause a short blip of deflation/crash. In which unfortunately market maker will keep chasing them until they die squuzed (if they are big enough)
Which is fair, we know bhp has great upside but also have a great risk of flash crash to downside. That is why we might see for first time inflation being detached from treasury.. If that squeezed ever happens, well sorry they got squeezed but that could make us very nervous lol but anyhow risk ~ reward = fair.
I think central banks should be ready to catch that blip or fiscal initiative to go 10t as quick as possible, but as always i hate it when they pretend to not for some time lol
