yeah i know. I was just referring to research of hundreds of companies between year 2000-2019 during their 2 cycles, their different in return after 8 years between companies who pay higher div and not. It couldn't be the case for bhp, past never guarantee future. However the real fact, bhp chose to pay debt 3x end of last year, we have to admit, beyond our expectation and capability.

Nope im not a trader. I still hold same amount since 2020 where i bought bhp higher than 10x of my net leverage in 2020. Just I think it is not fair that those many funds can trade their bhp holding and i couldnt? merely because im an investor? I only traded mine 20-30% but i always got all of my shares back, none gone missing. I accumulate never less since 2017. i dont add any bhp this year but dont have less than last year. Last year when bhp was in their 30s, i posted here i was looking it to double its price, that is when io was still around 100. I have that my view unchanged. Now that all my leverage is only around 3x after all price gain and trades (not really trades though), that is much below industry leverage 5-8x, where should i dump to? Even when this company runs slow in price appreciation and preserve their div, pay less div than expected, I have no complain to hold this company well.
